About the Author
Choong Nam Kim earned his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota and has been a researcher at the East-West Center in Honolulu since 1997. He served three Presidents of the Republic of Korea as an assistant and earlier was professor of political science at the Korea Military Academy.
